What to Expect from Elite Camps’ Summer Basketball Programs in 2025
As summer 2025 approaches, we’re thrilled to share what you can expect from Elite Camps’ basketball programs, designed for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
Whether your young athlete is dipping their toes into camp life for the first time or seeking an elite-level challenge, we’re ready to deliver an unforgettable experience on and off the court.
A Full Spectrum of Camps to Match Every Athlete
At Elite Camps, diversity and inclusivity fuel our programming. This summer, we’re running a wide range of camps:
- Youth Camp (ages 7–13): Weekly day camp programs are packed with skill-building, scrimmages, and fun for beginners and intermediate players.
- Girls-Only Camp (ages 10–13): Open to all skill levels, these sessions (July 20–26 and August 3–9) foster a supportive, empowering environment for female athletes.
- Teen Camp (ages 13–17): Tailored to intermediate and advanced players, our teen camps push athletes to elevate their game through focused training.
- Hoop Dreams Overnight Camps (10–17): Eight weeks of immersive overnight camp with basketball, leadership activities, and evening camp traditions, all nestled in Ontario’s scenic Bruce Peninsula eco-region.
- Specialty Camps: Customized intensive camps, Ball Handling, Shooting, Rep‑Prep, and High Performance, along with invite‑only Guard and All‑Star Camps for top-tier talent.
This lineup ensures that athletes can choose a program that aligns with their goals, whether foundational development, competitive readiness, or elite-level training.
Proven Curriculum Backed by Experience
With over 25 years of experience and an average of 6,000 athletes trained annually, Elite Camps brings depth and expertise to every session. Our curriculum is grounded in time-tested skill development and continuous improvement.
Each day blends technical work, such as ball handling, shooting, footwork, rebounding, defence, cutting, and passing, with live gameplay and situational drills.
Teen and high‑performance camps delve into advanced offensive/defensive tactics, basketball IQ, decision-making, and leadership development.
Elite Coaching Staff
Our team is the heartbeat of the summer experience. Year-round, Elite Camps employs full‑time program directors, certified personal trainers, strength & conditioning coaches, and experienced basketball coaches.
The staff expands to over 100 coaches in the summer, including current college, university, and pro players. Many of our coaches were once campers or Academy athletes, bringing elite-level insight and a deep understanding of our camp culture.
Character, Community, and Mental Toughness
Basketball is more than just a sport; it’s a platform for character growth. Through programs like Hoop Dreams Overnight Camps, we weave in leadership challenges, resilience training, and team-building activities.
Campers face manageable adversity, like scrimmage losses or tough drills, in a supportive setting that encourages recovery, growth, and self-confidence. Residential camp life also fosters independence, emotional maturity, and lifelong bonds.
Outstanding Facilities & Experience
Our residential camp unfolds on a sprawling 75-acre property in the UNESCO‑designated Bruce Peninsula.
The facility features air-conditioned cabins (with washrooms and showers), waterfront access, court time, and traditional camp fun like canoeing, climbing, and archery.
With a camper-to-staff ratio of 3:1, we offer individualized attention, high safety standards, and a small community feel (capped at around 120 campers per week).
Schedule & Important Dates
Our camp calendar spans early June through late August:
- Overnight youth & teen coed camps run across Weeks 1–4 (June 29–July 26) and Weeks 5–8 (July 27–August 23).
